Overview
In our outpatient chemotherapy department, 10 treatment chairs (see image) and a competent team of experienced specialists are available. The necessary medications are prepared shortly before administration at a specialized pharmacy in Mannheim and delivered to our doctor’s office.
Home-Based Therapies
Many tablet-based therapies can also be carried out at home. The consultation and education for these treatments takes place in our consultation rooms, just as before chemotherapy. Our treatment recommendations follow the guidelines of the Working Group for Gynecological Oncology (AGO), but are individually tailored in coordination with our patients and their families.
Supportive Medications
During chemotherapy, we also administer medications to manage and prevent possible side effects in accordance with the AGO guidelines (supportive therapy). This also applies to pain management. When needed, we collaborate with colleagues who have specialized expertise (pain therapists). If hospitalization becomes necessary due to significant side effects, we arrange admission and accommodation. Our patients can reach us by phone around the clock.
